As you can see we have some absolutely pristine commons and some gnarly old mirrors to well over 30lb. There are also good stocks of smaller carp and one or two ghost carp again in fantastic condition. It’s our aim to bring on these resident carp, maintain their health and help them grow to their full potential. This time next year we’ll have a 40lb carp… hopefully!

When we began to test the fishing and facilities it became apparent that the huge catfish had taken over the water, often being caught multiple times full of anglers bait. With that in mind this year we have taken the decision to implement a programme to catch and remove the catfish to the stock ponds for removal and re-sale in winter.
